How tool handoff works on BookaBoss
Payment & PIN Generation
After the owner accepts your booking request and you complete payment, a unique 6-digit Pickup PIN is generated.
- You'll see this PIN in your My Bookings page
- You'll also receive it via an in-app message
- The owner receives a notification that you're ready to pick up
Meet & Show Your PIN
When you meet the owner to collect the tool, show them your 6-digit PIN.
- The owner will enter this PIN in their app to verify it's you
- This step protects both parties
Confirm Pickup (Rental Starts)
Once the owner verifies your PIN, a "Confirm Pickup" button appears in your My Bookings.
- Click Confirm Pickup after inspecting the tool
- This officially starts your rental period
- From this moment, the tool is your responsibility
Return the Tool
When you return the tool, the owner will inspect it and confirm the drop-off in their app.
- If condition is good, your security deposit is released
- The rental period officially ends when the owner confirms
Important
Rental time officially starts only after you confirm pickup and ends only after the owner confirms drop-off. Always make sure both confirmations happen in the app to protect yourself.
